What does your company do and why is it unique?
Clarizen is a leader in collaborative work management. It brings together cross-company project management, configurable workflow automation and purposeful collaboration in an enterprise-grade platform.
Clarizen’s unique platform unites teams, reduces communication overload, and provides extensive visibility at any level of the enterprise, so that everyone can work more effectively, adapt to changes and achieve their objectives.
What are you most proud of in your company?
The culture. It’s a culture that encourages asking the right questions versus coming up with the answers, and challenging versus justifying.

More from Avinoam on why a company’s culture is part of its intellectual property >
Who inspires you/who do you admire and why?
Greatness inspires me. It is achieved when you are ready to change; I admire people who understand and embrace obstacles, because it’s a sign that they’re headed for greatness. Steve Jobs was a great example of this: He was thrown out of his own company, came back, changed and improved things, and at the end of the day became the ‘big kahuna’ – again. It’s an amazing story.
Which other companies do you admire and why?
I admire companies that have managed to understand their customers’ exact needs, and basically solve a use case for those customers. Many good companies achieved this, like Marketo, Salesforce, Zendesk and Workday, for example. These companies all managed to articulate the story of the problems they were aiming to solve really well, before developing their solutions.
